The farm we selected in Santo Tomas, Naguilian consists mainly of rolling hills. There are small flat lands in between these rolling hills where rainwater tend to collect; thus are converted to rice fields.
One advantage of the farm chosen is its proximity to Mallig Creek that has water year round. The creek is tapped especially during the dry season.
The rolling hills are planted with either corn or cassava.
[More later. Relate to plans on how Ecoculture techniques and strategies may be applied here. Paa particular attention of the slight erosion is some parts of the steeper sides of the rolling hills.]
