Young Rambutan Fruits in May

The high temperauture in Ilagan, Isabela and adjacent municipalities induces early flower bloom of many fruit trees, including Rambutan. By May, young rambutan fruits are already developing, ready for initial harvest by July. This  is much earlier than the maturation of fruits observed in CALABARZON where rambutan, lanzones and many other fruits trees were originally cultivated in the Philippines.

Because of its high price, rabutan and many other fruits are now cultivated in many other parts of the Philippines, including Isabela.

There used to be about 600 Rambutan Trees planted in Farm 01 Cadu, Ilagan Farm
